STEELE Canvas Corporation

I have been using STEELE Canvas products for a very long time. I've mostly used the large 'laundry trucks' at the cottage and the tote bags since the 70's. I've found the tote bags hold up better than the big name-brand totes. I've found they hold their stiffness longer---I like that. I like the tote to be able to stand up on it's own so that when I set it down to add items to it, it...stays...put; it's much easier to load than a tote that has collapsed and I have to bend down and keep it open. As I get older, I appreciate the little things more.

The nice bonus about STEELE is all of their products are made in the U.S.A. and are made to order. Yes, this takes a bit longer to arrive but it's worth it.

I'd like to post a few of my favourite items from STEELE.

Their log carrier is phenomenal. Recently, one of my pups hurt his paw. I used the log carrier to lift him into the Jeep and off we went to the vet so, it has all kinds of uses other than just carrying logs from the dooryard into the house.

This is their widest tote. There are a million uses for this tote from carrying apples to wood. Again, it is made in America and it is well-built to stand up to years of use.

The Elevated Truck with Removable bin is my absolute favourite product from STEELE. I have twelve bedrooms and twenty six beds---that's a lot of linens. I park one of these on each floor of the house in the laundry closets and they make laundry day a breeze.

Rainy Day At Camp

It appears canoeing is out for this afternoon.

Getting Ready For Spring

I've been ready for spring since January!  As soon as the temperature hits fifty, I am ready, especially this year.  I start with a thorough cleaning.  The breakfast room gets some summery additions: pillows, tablecloth, and cotton throw. New percale sheets for summer.

Tea and Taxes

I need to up my game on my choice of tea.  I love tea and drink it throughout the day from breakfast right into the late afternoon. My regular house tea is Yorkshire or Twinings brand but after I saw SWNE 's post about Fortnum & Mason , I went on the hunt for something different to try.   While searching on Google, I stumbled upon Harney & Sons . It arrived yesterday and I just brewed a pot and it's a very nice tea: Scottish Afternoon, a black tea.  I can't wait to receive my Fortnum & Mason which I ordered from Williams-Sonoma. I hope will make tax season a bit more enjoyable.  www.harney.com
