Electric Vehicles

I'm in need of a new vehicle. Usually, I run my SUVs into the ground but with Maine's salty roads it's impossible, the rust is a killer for vehicles in Maine--- I won't carry on about it. That's a whole other topic and I like to keep the blog posts short.
I'm debating whether or not to go all electric and *save the environment*. I'm not much for a sportscar so I won't mention all the choices on the market. I need something that can haul the dogs, the bags of mulch and garden supplies and actually use an SUV what they should be used for: utility. I don't care mouch for anything flashy.

I've narrowed it down to two choices, the RIVIAN and BOLLINGER MOTORS. Both have All Wheel Drive and both are not flashy. As for 'well-made',well, that will be a big risk as these vehicles are new to the market.

The BOLLINGER B1 is my first choice:
I'm loving the front cargo space.

The Good: It's plain. It's not flashy. It appears rugged which I need to get into my camp(lakehouse). It has plenty of room for the dogs and gear. It's electric.

The Bad: It's too "eye-catching". I do not like to be *noticed* or have attention drawn to me for what I drive, I don't care for that. Second, it' looks a bit too much like a Hummer---*nuff said*.

My Second Choice: The RIVIAN-R1S

A plain, simple SUV.
The Good: It's very plain and simple which I love. It comes in a nice Racing Green and other very simple colours. It has plenty of room for the dogs and gear as all the seats in the back fold flat into the floor---thank you RIVIAN! The RIVIAN is also All-Wheel drive so it can handle Maine's snowy and icy roads.

The Bad: I don't care for the grille style, specifically, the lights. Why not just simple, round headlights; I guess you can't have it all. Other than that, I think it looks very nice.

I will continue to do my research. I don't want to rush into a choice. Note: both are very expensive. I'm a frugal Yankee and the price tags of both are hard to swallow. The BOLLINGER starts at 125K and the RIVIAN at 77K---'gulp'.

Side note: I'm in no way affiliated with either of these motor companies.

I hope other WASP-Y blogs tackle this topic!

Rainy Day At Camp

It appears canoeing is out for this afternoon.

Tea and Taxes

I need to up my game on my choice of tea.  I love tea and drink it throughout the day from breakfast right into the late afternoon. My regular house tea is Yorkshire or Twinings brand but after I saw SWNE 's post about Fortnum & Mason , I went on the hunt for something different to try.   While searching on Google, I stumbled upon Harney & Sons . It arrived yesterday and I just brewed a pot and it's a very nice tea: Scottish Afternoon, a black tea.  I can't wait to receive my Fortnum & Mason which I ordered from Williams-Sonoma. I hope will make tax season a bit more enjoyable.  www.harney.com

Getting Ready For Spring

I've been ready for spring since January!  As soon as the temperature hits fifty, I am ready, especially this year.  I start with a thorough cleaning.  The breakfast room gets some summery additions: pillows, tablecloth, and cotton throw. New percale sheets for summer.
